began in 1999 as a peer-reviewed electronic journal that published a yearly volume with articles on original research in Spanish and Portuguese Medieval and Early Modern Literatures and Cultures. Today, eHumanista publishes a few volumes a year and has partnered with editors and scholars to create three new journals: eHumanista/IVITRA, eHumanista/Cervantes, and eHumanista/Conversos.

In addition to the journals, we also serve as a distributor of monographs and scholarly editions of texts and manuscripts. These are included under the Projects section. We recently added a new series under Projects: eHumanista/Minorías eBooks.

Because electronic scholarship allows us to publish studies of varying lengths and in diverse formats, we accept long monographs, interactive graphically rich editions and manuscripts edited with hyperlinks or enhanced with visual and sound files. Most publications are retrievable in PDF. Submissions must be sent in Word to one of the editors (Submissions) and should conform to MLA bibliographic citiation standards. We accept texts in Spanish, Portuguese, English, Catalan, Galician or Euskera.

Antonio Cortijo Ocaña and Erin M. Rebhan founded and direct eHumanista.

We are working on a new interface for eHumanista. If you have suggestions or comments, please contact one of the directors/editors.
